The AFP's secret facefit

The AFP media unit have outdone themselves by putting a media release online on the actual date of issue.

Sadly it’s to issue a photofit of a suspected rapist accused of doing his dark deed in O’Connor last week.

“The suspect is described as between 25 to 35 years of age, with olive/fair skin, approximately 168cm (5’6” in height), with a solid or overweight build, and with thick black or dark brown collar-length hair.

At the time of the offence, he was wearing a green T-shirt, and tan or brown pants with a belt. He was also carrying one black bag and possibly a plastic bag.

The truly sad bit is that the image is broken. Tracking down the image location leads to a logon page which indicates it’s still on a secure section of the AFP website, so not really issued at all.

Did we ever get a chance to say whether the Canberra police should be digitally encrypted or not ?

Canberra police are quite silent. Don’t mess with them…Right officer fxnix
