WATCH THE TRAILER VIDEO FOR THE DISPLACED

Impro ACT presents a season of theatre performance that will explore what it’s like for ordinary Australians to be asked to leave what they know.

Taking improvised theatre into new terrain, actors explore the characters’ emotional and physical journeys; through heartbreak and hope, through simple and serious instances of displacement.

A vivid and genuine experience for both performer and audiences at The Street Theatre.

THE DISPLACED will also show the happiness, joy and relief of new beginnings.

Venue: Street One, Street Theatre, 15 Childers St, Canberra City West 2601
Dates: Thursday 10 – Saturday 12 March, Thursday 17 – Saturday 19 March 2011
Time: 7:30pm
Reservations: 6247 1223 or www.thestreet.org.au

What does the word ‘displaced’ mean to you?

This is an exciting theatrical first for Canberra, with the event being monitored nationally and blogged internationally by producers of improvised theatre performance. An impro show with a point? Who would have thunk it?
