Sally Chicane (pictured) have been a punk staple in the nation’s capital, with Kristy (third from left) also the brains behind She-Riff, which puts women rockers at the front of the stage at Transit Bar now and again. They won’t be performing as part of She-Riff, but instead will be playing alongside Naked Scientist and Rebecca-Maree at Transit Bar on Friday, starting 7.30 pm.
It’s the National Folk Festival on this week! CHECK OUT THE DETAILS! I will be there, as will LocalnLive’s Exec Producer DJ Loz, so come say hi! I am particularly keen to see Nick Delatovic performing his excellent solo work with some of Canberra’s finest musicians.
If you can’t get to the Folkie, fear not! as Smith’s will be hosting the Anti-Folk Festival through the weekend, an equally strong Canberran tradition. Check out some weird electronic vibes at the Polo on Thursday, with an interstate line-up of Brainbeau, Gas and Low Flung starting from 10 pm. King Parrot – just as famous for their hilarious videos as for their unreal music – will be playing Transit Bar with Child Bite, Fight Milk and Disparo. So much more happening, check it out below, and have a great weekend, CBR!
