Lavers have been kicking around since 2011, crafting some of the catchiest indie-pop hooks, including this earworm from a few years back. They will be returning to the stage along with The Chesterfield Band and Ben Cumming, the latter playing his final show in Australia before heading overseas – check them out at The Phoenix on Friday night from 8:30 pm.
On the same night, CBR’s legendary brass brigades Los Chavos and East Row Rabble will be both launching new material, along with Brother Brad at the Polish White Eagle Club from 8 pm. Sydney melodic metal band Darker Half will be at The Basement as part of their ‘Are You Ready?’ tour, while the renowned Norwegian free improvisation group Dans Les Arbres will be hosted by SoundOut at the Drill Hall Gallery at 7 pm.
On Saturday at Poets For Breakfast, Alicia Sparkles and Fossil Rabbit will be performing alongside a host of poets, so make sure you’re up early and ready to go! Also make sure to catch The King Hits with Mick Daley’s Corporate Raiders and John Wickham playing at The Pot Belly, while over at Transit Bar at 8 pm will be P. Smurf as part of the ‘Playing The Blues’ tour, performing alongside Otherside osk, Jedbrii, Pay Psyfa and Sleazy S.
