Two men and a woman have been injured after a multiple-vehicle crash near Bungendore, north of Canberra this afternoon.

Around 4:30 pm (18 October), two vehicles and a truck collided on the Kings Highway, four kilometres south of the intersection of the Kings Highway and Goulburn Road.

The driver of the truck stopped briefly after the crash before leaving the scene. He was last seen travelling east on the Kings Highway towards Braidwood. The truck is described as a flat-bed truck with possibly a small crane on the back.

A male in his 30s had to be cut from the wreckage of one of the vehicles. He is currently in a stable condition. A 32-year-old man and a girl in her mid-teens sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

The male was taken to Canberra Hospital, with the male in his 30s airlifted from the scene.

The teenage girl has been airlifted to a Sydney hospital.

Inquiries into the events leading up to the crash are continuing.

Officers from the Monaro Police District are appealing for anyone who might have been travelling on the Kings Highway this afternoon and may have dashcam footage of the crash to contact them.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
