A 37-year-old man and a 28-year-old man have been extradited from Queanbeyan to face charges over an aggravated robbery at the Australia Post store in Fyshwick.

At about 9.30am on Thursday, two men riding a motorcycle parked near the Australia Post outlet in Townsville St. One man entered the building and threatened staff with a shortened shotgun, demanding cash.

After staff complied the man fled the store, returning to the motorcycle where he fled with the second man.

The men were later arrested by NSW Police in Queanbeyan.

On Friday, ACT police successfully sought their extradition in the Queanbeyan Magistrates Court.

Both were transported to the ACT watch house and it is expected they will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday morning on charges relating to the aggravated robbery.
