Sweet Brandy is looking for a family to rule.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to the mesmerising Brandy the cat and Jay the enthusiastic dog.

Cat of the Week – Brandy

Brandy is a bossy cat looking for a stable home that will welcome her as part of the family.

Brandy hasn’t had the easiest life. This is her second time at the Shelter and she’s looking for someone to call her own. Despite this, Brandy continues to be a lovely cat who purrs and rolls about when she’s got your attention.

Brandy has shown her playful nature with staff at the Shelter, but can still come across as a bit shy especially when meeting new people.

Brandy loves to watch the world go by from her perch in one of our condos, and is extremely chatty when people say hello.

This sweet lady is affectionate on her own terms, and would love a home with ‘cat savvy’ owners who have previously owned cats and understand that she may need her alone time occasionally.

Brandy will need plenty of time and patience to settle into her home before she makes it her castle.

Brandy doesn’t always enjoy being picked up and handled a lot but will love to follow you around and watch you on your daily routine.

Red needs to find his perfect match! Could you be the one he is looking for?

Dog of the Week – Red

Golden Red has a huge personality and great zest for life.

Red loves the great outdoors and we think that he would love an active family who are willing to take him exercising including running, walking, hiking and maybe even bike riding.

Red loves to spend his time at the Shelter with our volunteers. When he isn’t on a walk or playing fetch in the yards, you’ll find him laying out in the sun.

Red has big amounts of energy and could play for hours and hours on end.

Coming from the Kelpie breed, Red will require plenty of exercise and enrichment to ensure that he keeps his mind and body stimulated. Tasty treats will be a strong motivator to help continue Red’s training.

We recommend Red find a family with children eight years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
