Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Scorpius and Jersey are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cat of the Week – Scorpius
Meet Scorpius! This mysterious black cat is a very handsome boy who has spent most of his life on the street. When this guy first came into our care, he was very nervous and jittery in the shelter environment.
But with time he has calmed down and now shows all the team his bubbly, personable side. He is now looking for his forever home and a little bit of love.
Scorpius is FIV+, likely due to fighting with other cats in his travels, and through his veterinary exams we have discovered he also has some skin allergies. This means that Scorpius must now live his life as an indoor-only cat to protect both himself and other roamers.
Scorpius loves to chat to people and gets lots of pats and brushes. Sometimes Scorpius can get overstimulated so he is looking for some new owners who will be able to read his behaviour and understand when he is in a good mood. It will be important for his family to be able to set rules and boundaries over play when he gets overstimulated.
Dog of the Week – Jersey
Fun, young and looking for love. Jersey is friendly and full of life! As well as being a beauty to look at, Jersey is a very happy go lucky girl who deserves the world. Jersey absolutely loves people, plays with toys like a puppy and enjoys her daily exercise and walks with our team.
Jersey hasn’t had any previous experience with young children and can be a boisterous dog at times. This little lady does get on well with other dogs here at the shelter, but due to a rough playstyle will need an older, playful and robust companion. It will be important for any resident dog to meet with Jersey prior to adoption.
Jersey’s new forever home must have 6-foot secure fencing to ensure that she is able to live safely and securely in her new backyard.
Jersey is looking for love, so if you have the perfect home make sure to come and speak with our team.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
