Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Delta and Wiggins are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Delta

Here’s the joy you need heading into the holiday season! Delta is a young Kelpie/Aussie Cattledog looking for a home. She’s only a couple of months old but has already benefitted from the daily love, attention and socialisation that young pups receive at our shelter.

It’s good to talk about a pup like Delta because we have lots of other young pups coming up for adoption in the coming weeks and months. Like Delta, every one is cute – they’re little dynamos who love licking faces!

The best part about pups like Delta is they’re fast learners and young enough to be crafted and taught precisely how you want them to interact with you, other people and animals. You can teach old dogs new tricks, but it’s way easier to teach young ones.

Delta will grow to be affectionate and will need a regular stroll or walk around – she’s an active breed, so this is a must. Come and visit Delta now, and keep an eye out for the other young pups soon to be available on our website.

Rabbit of the Week: Wiggins

Now, here’s a good-looking rabbit! Wiggins is one of those pets who is charming by virtue of his appearance. You can’t meet him without that rush of joy and affection, usually resulting in you saying, “Hello there, buddy!”

He’s so handsome. He’s a shy boy, though. Definitely a friendly chap, but when he first arrived at our shelter, he was super standoffish. But he’s come a long way in just a few weeks with plenty of love and affection.

He’s mostly been an indoor rabbit, and it should remain that way, but if you have an indoor/outdoor rabbit coop, you’d truly be spoiling Mr Handsome Pants here!

Wiggins would do best in a quieter living arrangement, but following his current trajectory, he’ll be your sweetest little friend in no time at all. Come and visit Wiggins!

Pawnotes: Last week’s Cat of the Week, Eddie, was adopted and has a new home! Thanks for everything you do to support us, Canberra.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
