A fresh take on political ads from Canberra

GetUp.org has a competition running at present allowing everyday Aussies to make their own political ads for the upcoming federal election.

A number of local filmmakers including Hanat and Colsim (among others) have put their efforts up for your viewing and voting pleasure.

I could only find these two on YouTube – they’re a little rough (sorry dude/dudette but they are) but are worth a look. (I tried to embed these but things seem a little wonky – curse my inadequate html 🙂

I quite like it. There does seem to be a bit of a c*ck-up with Getup’s voting system though, as it still doesn’t seem to be enabled, almost two days after voting was supposed to open.
