ACT records 495 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 495 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 276 identified by PCR and 230 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are 43 people in hospital.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 62.9 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 6014 new cases and seven deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 5052 new cases and 17 deaths.
