Another brilliant idea from Steve

When not vanadlising public art work Steve Pratt seems to spend his days finding problems for which he propose the stripping of civil liberties as a solution.

Today the ABC informs us that Steve is proposing that the scourge of road rage be tackled with a pervasive network of surveillance cameras and some magic software which can automatically detect the emotional state of drivers and issue the appropriate fine for this thought crime.

So what’s your solution to politicians who destroy public art and fail to apologise Steve? Or are you leaving that one for voters?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The beauty of Hare-Clark is you can vote Liberal in the south and not have to vote for Pratt. I encourage all Liberal voters to exercise that privilege.

I almost got into some road rage myself today.

A dickhead with QLD plates cut in front of me and almost had me head first into the concrete chicane near Erindale this morning.

“Pratt. You know you’re thinking it.”

“predictable vy “

…but correct. I think “Pratt by name, prat by nature” needs to get tagline status.

Pratt is a perfect example of what is wrong with the ACT Assembly. The whacko stupid element is disproportionate and, if one was hiring clerks, the only real chances would be Stanhope, Barr (maybe) and Mulcahy (maybe). Apart from that, we would be better off moving a pre-school class in to do the job.

I await Mr Pratt’s discovery of lethal Martian death rays, truth serum and magic antidotes.

Funny story about Pratt.
I saw him at the last ACT election at a polling booth kicking up a stink because candidates (including another Liberal candidate – Steve Dospott I think his name was) were sitting marginally within the 100m zone. They were well away from the entrance and Dospott was the closest to the hall anyway. So he went to make an official complaint and had everybody moved back, including his competition from within his own party. If only the Canberra public had voted him out then.

Is this guy still around? Are the Libs that desperate to keep their one “celebrity” candidate that they’re just willing to put up with any amount of his stupid ideas and stunts?
I tend to suspect that nobody ever lost votes by promising to be tougher on crime, but he’s sure giving that theory a good workout…

Pratt by name, prat by nature.

why not tackle the reasons people get road rage instead?

i am sure some people are angry all the time, but others just get upset when they get cut off by other people driving left-to-right across three lanes, at 15kph below the posted speed limit, whilst indicating left.

maybe if there was a larger force of people of some sort who could, i don’t know, police more driving offences than just speeding?

If Pratt likes Police-states so much much, why doesn’t he piss off back to Serbia?

Git!
