About Rebecca Vassarotti MLA
Rebecca Vassarotti a member of the ACT Legislative Assembly, elected for the ACT Greens in the seat of Kurrajong for the 2020 Territory election.
Prior to her election, Rebecca worked in the health and human services sector, in a range of senior executive roles and as an independent consultant. She served as a community member of ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal and held a range of voluntary board roles including with Community Housing Canberra, the Early Morning Centre and the Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation and Advocacy. She was a co-founder of the Canberra Gambling Reform Alliance.
Prior to establishing her own consultancy business, Rebecca worked as the Deputy CEO at Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS), a role that came after a long association with the Council of Social Service movement, serving on the Boards of ACOSS and the ACT Council of Social Service. For 10 years Rebecca was Executive Director at the YWCA of Canberra.
