Barefoot bandit robs Belconnen liquor store

A liquor shop in Belconnen was robbed yesterday evening (16 February) by two men who stole cash before fleeing on foot.

The men entered the Cellarbrations store on the corner of Luxton and Josephson Streets at about 5:30 pm. They are described as being Caucasian in appearance.

Police said the first man is about 175 cm (5’ 9”) tall, with short brown hair and a slim build.

He was wearing a brown-coloured baseball cap, a maroon-coloured hooded jacket, white and blue-coloured Under Armour sneakers, blue shorts, and a navy blue-coloured Asics gym bag with green coloured straps.

Police have described the second man as being about 175 cm (5’9”) tall, with short brown hair and a solid build.

He was wearing a brown-coloured baseball cap, a brown-coloured jacket, blue shorts and no footwear.
