Braddon’s food and beverage vendors celebrated the inner city area’s growing reputation as a foodie hub by throwing a party in Haig Park at the weekend.
The Taste of Braddon event featured the area’s favourite restaurants, which turned the park into an open-air kitchen, while Braddon’s best coffee houses and BentSpoke Brewing kept the drinks flowing.
They were joined by Canberra District Wine Association’s District Food and Wine Frolic, which showcased the region’s best food, wineries and spirit makers.
If you couldn’t find something to eat and drink, you weren’t really looking.
Live music and performance art, Dachshund, Pug and Poodle races, and even goat yoga kept the hungry hordes entertained during the event, which partied into the evening on both Saturday and Sunday.
Braddon vendors who shared their wares were ‘VIA DOLCE Pasticceria’, ‘HeyKuya’, BentSpoke Brewing Co, ‘Roleee’, ‘Soul Cartel CBR’, ‘Lonsdale Street Roasters 7’, ‘Mr. Papa – Canberra’, ‘The Mandalay Bus’, ‘Cannoli Brothers’, ‘Zaab Street Food’, ‘Sweet Bones Bakery Cafe’, and ‘Fruitolicious Traditional Lemonades, Iced-Teas & Icy-Poles’.
Local photographer Jack Mohr was on site to capture all the action.
