The ABC is reporting on the jailing of Richard Gerard Meehan, 55, from Melbourne who showered a 14 year old Canberra girl with “Internet and mobile phone text messages with the intention of procuring a child under 16”.
The girl came into contact with him when she accidentally left a message on his phone but the ABC says she showed good sense when he turned up at her school:
“After several weeks, he visited the girl while she was at school in Canberra and asked to kiss her, but she refused”
Three months in the clink for Mr. Meehan.
