Tonight the Canberra Raiders beat the Parramatta Eels 24-14 at Parramatta Stadium. The Greenhouse has a blow-by-blow account of how the game unfolded.

Again, Dane Tilse, Shaun Fensom and Terry Campese had standout performances. Former Tuggeranong junior Josh Dugan was also immense in both defence and attack, and completely out-classed the much-fancied Jarryd Hayne. However, the Raiders were strong across the park and each player can be satisfied with his efforts.

The only drawback to the game was a potential injury to Joe Picker, and the fact that ABC 666’s transmission kept on breaking up in the second half. However, they had fixed the technical glitches by full-time, meaning that listeners were treated to the sound of the Parra fans booing their own team from the field.

Lol, where was the huge crowd?

Isn’t this supposed to be Rugby League town these days!

Oh, that’s right, it actually isn’t!

Lol at you for posting two years after full time.

That must be why he is frustrated, can’t work out how to do stuff on time.

Booing seems very popular in League crowds.
I thought Josh McCrone had a great game too.

Booing their own team off the field? Not cool.

Anyway, great work by our guys to defend like a proper NRL team and attack like we know we’re capable of. Also, Croker’s defence was solid and deserves a mention. They ran at the skinny winger and he took them down without fail.
