Chisholm Aldi supermarket robbed at checkout

The Aldi supermarket in Chisholm was robbed on Tuesday morning (6 February) by a male offender who covered his face with the T-shirt he was wearing.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery that occurred about 9.45 am, when the offender approached a member of staff at the checkout and demanded cash.

The staff member complied and the offender ran off with a sum of money. No one was harmed during the incident.

He was last seen running towards Proctor Street, Chisholm.

The offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid-20s, about 6’0” tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black T-shirt over his face, a hoodie and grey track pants.

Police did not say whether he was armed.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
