Canberra SDF is a community festival that celebrates the four main elements of hip hop culture; dance, DJing, MCing, and graffiti.
There is so much more to hip hop than dance crazes and we want to share its rich history and culture with the Canberra community. Join us in Garema Place for dance and music showcases, competitions, dance parties, art installations, fashion stalls, workshops and more!
Project Beats is bringing together the biggest names in the Canberra street scene for a day of events, stalls and activities that showcases the incredible talent in Canberra.
This is an inclusive and family-friendly event built on the values of Hip Hop culture; peace, love, unity and having fun!
Watch a dance battle between some of the best Hip Hop and Soul dancers in Canberra! – Dance showcases from Project Beats, Passion & Purpose and Fresh Funk – Rapping and music performances from local rappers KG and Shaka J – DJ showcases from DJ Dumpings and CutLab.
Browse the fashion stalls, sneaker maintenance and hair braiding from Kriss Kross – Street art and graffiti installations from a wide range of local street artists – Food and drink deals from Super Emoji.
There will be prizes for crowd interaction and dancers from local street fashion brands Inaugural Garments and World Tour Supply and Impact Comics
