facade suggestions required

By Kart_Veni - 30 March 2012 10

Hello people,

I need some suggestions for a cheaper front facade.

Rendering the whole front is costing me a 1,500 to 2,000. Stack stone is costing me around the same.

But are there any cheaper solutions? I have rendering bricks in front of my house and would like to make my facade appear better.

Thanks in advance.

What’s Your opinion?

An bath tub always looks good. I had one in my front yard for ages and it was always a great conversation starter.

But don’t you just hate it when people won’t stop talking and the water goes cold.

Personally, a good archway is a great way to improve your facade – just look at this example:

Flattened out goon boxes and use the silver pillows for insulation.

WIN WIN

Can’t you just paint? I prefer painted brick to render most of the time anyway as it often has more character.

Go the Grand Designs UK route – some sort of plaster mixed out of horse hair, horse poo and miscellaneous ground rocks. Then you can wax lyrical about using traditonal sustainable materials.

You’ll also need a windy but pleasant sounding man in a striped suit wandering around and getting in the way.

I’ve never noticed that Kevin McCloud is windy. Perhaps I should listen closer.
