Four people have been arrested over a home invasion in Cooma earlier this year.
NSW Police have alleged a man and woman entered a home in Sharp Street at about 11:15 pm on 2 April and confronted the two occupants.
“The unknown man produced a firearm and threatened the occupants before a scuffle broke out and a shot was fired into the ceiling,” according to police.
The alleged home invaders fled in a grey ute. No physical injuries were reported.
Police began investigating the incident under the name Strike Force Davesta.
As a result, on Friday (6 August), a 39-year-old man was arrested at a house in Neeworra Street, Cooma.
He was charged with “being an accessary before the specially aggravated entering of a dwelling with intent – dangerous weapon”. He was refused bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday (9 August).
Police also arrested a 41-year-old woman at a house in Woolalla Street, Cooma. She was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence by another person.
She was granted conditional bail and will appear at Cooma Local Court on 22 September.
A 33-year-old Dubbo man, already in custody over other charges, was also alleged to be involved in the incident.
His charges include “specially aggravated entering a dwelling with intent – dangerous weapon”, as well as firing a gun in a manner likely to injure persons or property.
In addition, police said a 31-year-old Dubbo woman, who was also in custody on other charges, was charged with “specially aggravated entering dwelling with intent – dangerous weapon”.
The Dubbo residents will appear in Goulburn Local Court on 25 August.
