A 31-year-old man released from Cooma Gaol yesterday will face court this morning on charges relating to the aggravated robbery of the Cellarbrations Liquor Store in Nicholls last year after his extradition from NSW.
The man was arrested by NSW police on behalf of ACT Policing upon his release from prison yesterday. After appearing in the Queanbeyan Local Court for a hearing, he was transported the ACT Watch House a short time later.
The man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning facing charges relating to the aggravated robbery of the Cellarbrations Liquor Store in Nicholls, ACT on 27 April 2016. It is alleged that he and an accomplice used a stolen vehicle and held up the store brandishing a firearm that was pointed at the attendant.
He also faces family violence charges from May 9, 2016. Police will be opposing bail for all charges.
ACT Policing would like to thank NSW Police for their assistance in this matter.
