Does anyone know where I can drop of some glass recyling for free?
Does the Mitchell waste centre take them for free? I have about 100 long necks from a past home brewing exercise.
I have been using the normal household recyling bin but there is a bit to many for it.
I don’t think anybody would want them anymore as they have been in storage under a house for nearly 2 years and have 2 inches of grime on them.
Still got em mate? I can take a few off your hands…
I’d love to take them. As well as the suggestions above you could offer them on Freecycle.

Or try ringing the home brew place in Kambah, or Georges in Phillip? They usually take longnecks. Not sure how clean they like em exactly, but i’ve given them dusty/dirty ones before, no probs!
Here is a link with a list of locations:

Don’t be so sure about no-one wanting them. Crown seal long necks are getting hard to come by these days. Advertise in the tight arse Tuesday classifieds in the Canberra Times for free and someone will probably come and collect them from you, saving a trip to the dump.
Yup – the place at Mitchell has a long skip for glass making it easy to unload if you park next to it, and quantity isn’t an issue – I’ve dumped about 600 bottles at a time there with no problems.
The one in I think it’s in Huddart Cct Mitchell takes bottle for free.
There is a recycling depot in Belconnen behind Bing Lee’s, Cohen Street
