A 19-year-old Richardson man was to face court today over the stabbing of a ‘good Samaritan’ in Kambah late on Saturday night.
ACT Policing said it was seeking witnesses to the stabbing, which occurred about 11:15 pm on Kingsmill Street.
Police said witnesses had told them a 26-year-old man had attempted to assist a woman involved in an argument with the alleged offender.
ACT Ambulance Service members treated the victim at the scene for serious stab wounds and took him to hospital where he underwent surgery.
Police arrested the Richardson man yesterday and charged him with grievous bodily harm and intentionally wounding.
