UPDATE: 5:05 pm – Bunda St has now reopened after earlier incident.
Police and emergency services have closed off an area of Bunda St in Civic after police responded to an incident in the area this afternoon.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said there is no cause for the public to be concerned by the incident, but people should avoid the area today (16 November).
“ACT Policing can confirm it has responded to an incident at the Canberra Centre and there is a partial closure of Bunda St near the Canberra Centre,” an ACT policing spokesperson told Region Media.
“There are no concerns for public safety and no suspicious circumstances.”
