ACT Policing is asking for witnesses to come forward after an alleged road rage incident where several passengers attacked a car with a baseball bat on Hindmarsh Drive.

Around 2 pm on 6 December, a light blue older model Toyota Tarago pulled up behind a grey Mazda 323 hatchback at the westbound traffic lights at the corner of Hindmarsh Drive and Tuggeranong Parkway.

It is alleged several passengers from the Tarago then got out of the vehicle and smashed the rear window with a baseball bat or metal bar.

The offenders then got back into the Tarago before the vehicle fled the scene on the Tuggeranong Parkway southbound.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage of the area at the time.

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
