Queanbeyan – the gift that never ceases to give

johnboy 3 February 2009 35

In rebuttal to one flame on the horrors of Queanbeyan we’ve gained another:

killed a lovely man. – Im pretty sure he was one of the many town drunks, im pretty sure ben did not kill him for no reason… Y bring drugs n shit into it, its pathetic.
Ben is in jail, fuck wat more do u want.

Queanbeyan is a queer place. When you live here you get to see the fights and arguments.

Queanbeyan is not a queer place, some people are normal its jus the fucked up ones that make this town look stupid. but yes we do see alot of fights and arguments and this is wat it leads to. Queanbeyan would rather use there fists then there heads but thats the way they got brought up. We arent bad people and queanbeyan is a livable place thats y we were all in shock when we all found out who it was.

If we didn’t have a Queanbeyan we’d need to invent it.

I am not sure that Cube should be allowed to keep it’s name since the actual cube moved.

Well, it was probably done with the best possible taste.

Queanbeyan should become a queer place, just think of it beautifully scented and presented, and the worst outcome of any fight a broken fingernail.

Cube had its very own, very high profile, murder acquittal…

“””””Queanbeyan is not a queer place, some people are normal its jus the fucked up ones that make this town look stupid.””””

I am still bemused by this statement.
Does the OP mean it is the ‘normal’ people running around killing people?
This flame was in defence of Ben and yet the OP says “its jus the fucked up ones that make this town look stupid”

I’m still not sure what point is being made.

I am also wondering how the OP can make a statement like “”We arent bad people and queanbeyan is a livable place thats y we were all in shock when we all found out who it was.””

I live in Qbn and I wasn’t in shock. I know alot of people (including a few of Ben’s friends) who were not in shock.
The people who watched the fiasco at the pub the night of the murder and seen Ben hunting Danny down certainly weren’t in shock.

I think Deadman means the clubhouses like pubs, not boarded up houses.
Do they have the clubhouses like pubs in ACT??

Deadmandrinking Deadmandrinking 2:31 pm 03 Feb 09

My school’s road, that was.

Deadmandrinking Deadmandrinking 2:23 pm 03 Feb 09

Well the one across my road made it pretty darn obvious who they were.

Bike clubhouses are basically regular houses Deadman, except they are barricaded and reinforced and you would do well to stay away.

Deadmandrinking Deadmandrinking 2:10 pm 03 Feb 09

I thought the clubhouses were like the legal front?

You think they apply?

I gather city planners don’t get as much say as they’d like in the siting of outlaw gang clubhouses.

I guess the Hardcore Bikie class wasn’t in my curriculum. I knew there was something fun missing in primary school!

I don’t think the clubhouse in Ainslie is that far from a Primary School.

Neither is the one in Wanniassa

Queanbeyan is not that bad a place, really. It’s just boring if you’re young.

Though, I would like to have some serious words with the Urban Planners who thought it was a good idea to have a Pub, a Centrelink and a Bus Interchange that serviced the school runs on the same stretch of street. Top thinking there!

That’s convenience with a capital Q.

I’ll have to get out the map and have a good look. I’ve never really thought about it before. I’d say, on the whole, Canberra planners do seem to get this aspect pretty right.

I’m trying to imagine that happening in Canberra, but I am failing dismally.

Yes, and the Food Reflief Center for the homeless, drunks and drug addicts across the road from an Infants/Primary school. They even open and close at the same times so all the kiddies get to see what will happen to them if they don’t get a good education!!!!
Some of the people attending the FRC have been warned about trying to talk/be friendly to the children entering/leaving school.

There was a rebels clubhouse across the road from my queanbeyan PS.
