Raiders whitewashed by Manly

Foxsports have another miserable report of capitulation by a Canberra football side.

This time the Raiders did not trouble the scorers while Manly rattled on 20 points and golden boy Brett Stewart finally got to score his 100th try,

An 8 game losing streak equals the club record but with an away trip to Melbourne coming up it seems we’re heading into all time record territory.

You know things are getting tough when they have to bring in a Massey…

The Raiders need to get a dog up ’em. Oh, wait…

disgusting. absolutely disgusting. how the hell can furner keep his job and expect to have the respect of the supporters. last nights performance was down to preperation and game plan and both were the worst ive seen in a long time. even if campese was playing it wouldnt make a difference when we dont spread the ball around because of our game plan so why drop vidot? our forwards are playing poor and there is no go forward and there is no idea in attack and thats furners game plan. a wet game and not once did we really pressure manly with a high ball in attack but manly were putting up bombs and canberra were dropping them. we play one out football that belongs at seiffert oval and the supporters are growing frustrated with the lack of accountability that the coaching staff and club are taking for this run. its not all the players fault considering most of the playing roosters is the same and the errors we are making again would still be made if campese was playing. so again either furner goes or we can just watch the team sit last with a very very low home crowd for the rest of the season. the big membership drive went well this year and i suspect next year it wont be so sucessful if questions arent answered.

Interesting stat mentioned in last night’s commentary was that the Raiders forwards have gone from #1 in metres gained last season to dead last this year. You can’t score tries if you don’t make forward progress, and you can’t win games if you don’t score tries.

The question is do we blame the support staff or the players for this?

This game was an absoluite disgrace. The Raiders seemed like they had nothing to play for, they were severly lacking in attack, defence, motivation and discipline.
I believe the Furners (both) have to be let go. Many other coaches/CEO’s have been let go for less.
Lets face it though, when the club is ruled over by a ***** like John McIntyre, what hope do we really have, there is no way he will ever get the chop unless the club folds.

Surely the Furner dynasty at the Raiders is on shaky ground at the moment.

I told to some friends yesterday it would be Manly by 20, and I’ll attempt to back that pick by saying they won’t win a game until Campo returns.

Yeah, after looking at the draw I reckon that the Raiders won’t win a game until they play the Eels in round 16 and surely Campese will be back by then.
