Kirran and Ruby are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cat of the week: Kirran
Kirran is a soft soul who recently raised a litter of happy little kittens, all of which have found and gone to their forever homes. Still at the shelter, Kirran is still looking to find a new home of her own.
Prior to her time here at the shelter, sweet Kirran did not have many good experiences with humans. She had lost trust in our kind but since arriving has made huge strides in terms of progress. Kirran now doesn’t fear approaching you for cuddles and pats, and will roll around you lightheartedly while expecting some love in return.
Kirran makes for a great indoor-only cat, luckily lacking curiosity when it comes to the big outside world. She would have no issue happily playing and lounging her days away with her new family.

Dog of the week: Ruby
Meet Ruby, a big girl who has been in our care since March of this year. Ruby’s owner very sadly had to surrender her due to a struggle with housing issues, but this sweet girl was well loved.
Ruby is quite shy upon meeting, however, comes out of her shell as she gets to know and trust you. If given the chance, Ruby would in no time be curling up next to you for cuddles and big tummy rubs.
This lovely lady wants nothing more than to be loved and cherished in her new home and makes the perfect housemate with her polite sit and good table manners.
Ruby, being the size she is, is filled with boundless energy to put towards long, relaxing walks or fun and active playtime. She absolutely adores her toys and appreciates a good game of tug of war any time of the day.

Animal viewing hours
Monday to Friday: 10 am – 3 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm
Sunday and public holidays: Closed.
