Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Angel and Frankie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Rabbit of the Week – Angel

In the immortal words of Robbie Williams: I’m loving Angel instead! That may not be verbatim how the song went, but the sentiment still rings true. Angel is, as his name would imply, a complete sweetie. This little guy was surrendered to us and is looking for a loving forever home where he’ll be treasured like the charming bunny he is.

Angel is quite a curious guy and will hop on over to whomever it is that has come to say hello. He’ll need to live indoors as his fair skin is much too sensitive to sunlight. Angel is quite content just sitting with you for a while until something piques his interest, then he gets the urge to explore. One thing which is certain to arouse his senses is food! This hungry bunny will happily munch away on veggies until his heart’s content.

Angel was surrendered because he was fighting with his brother. This is common among adolescent males. Rabbits will often bond best with a male/female combination. For this reason, we’d recommend a friendly, desexed female for Angel to live with.

We’re confident that Angel would enjoy living with some rabbit-savvy children who will keep him company but give him a bit of space when he needs it.

Sweet Angel will seem heaven-sent to your family’s life!

Frankie

Frankie can’t wait to relax in your home!

Dog of the Week – Frankie

Frankie is a gorgeous lady who is looking for her forever home. Frankie’s gentle face will melt your heart and you’ll find it difficult to resist the urge to cover her with kisses!

Frankie came to us through no fault of her own. She is on the lookout for an owner with a quieter household that’s ready and willing to put in some time and effort into her training which is thus far going very well. Frankie’s owner will need to have a bit of patience integrating her into their home as she can be shy. But given time, Frankie will make an excellent addition to your family.

Frankie is an athletic dog who loves her daily walks and enjoys a game with a tennis ball. She has a beautiful Amber coloured coat but, unfortunately, does suffer from some skin issues. While she’s been in our care, we’ve managed to get them under control, but these will likely need to be monitored for life. At this time, Frankie would prefer to be an only dog and, as she has not had much exposure to children, we would recommend a home with no children.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
