Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Boris and Marley are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Guinea Pig of the Week – Boris
Boris the guinea pig is a shy little piggy looking for a family willing to take things slow. It’s a whole new world out there for this little guy, so Boris’s new family will need to help him adjust to the real world outside of the shelter. Boris will need plenty of space and time to get to know you before he is ready for some cuddles and handling.
This guy loves tasty snacks including his fresh grass and parsley, and enjoys a little hidey spot to watch the world go by. Boris would love a friendly pig to live with eventually but has been bullied in the past by other piggies, so new introductions will need to be slow and carefully managed.
Boris could live indoors, outdoors or both, but will require a secure weatherproof hutch, and extra space for him to stretch his legs once settled in. If you think you have the time, love, patience and piggy experience to help Boris come out of his shell, make sure you book an appointment with our team.
Dog of the Week – Marley
Meet Marley the blue brindle Staffy! This young guy is ready to take on the real world and find his way to a new forever home. Marley is just one-year-old and is looking for an active home willing to provide him with plenty of daily exercise and enrichment.
Marley would love to attend training classes, and a chance to relax on the couch at the end of a busy day. Marley loves to play fetch out in the yards with our team and will make a great buddy for anyone up for adventure. Marley is super active and wants to make sure his new humans can keep up the pace!
This little guy is excited about life, so a calm, patient and steady environment with rules and boundaries will make his life a dream. Marley is currently unsure of other dogs, and will best suit a new home where he can be the main and only pooch priority.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
