Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Brodie, Mozzarella and Gouda are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Brodie

Gorgeous Brodie has been with us a few months now, and despite his rough start to life, he has blossomed with care into a much happier dog.

This sweet boy has a beautiful white and caramel patchwork coat and enormous listening ears! Brodie is a delight to be around at the shelter and has taken very warmly to staff and volunteers. He’d love to be included indoors, spending time with his family when people are at home. Brodie is quite unsure about other dogs, so at this stage, we think he should be an ‘only’ dog.

His foster family has been teaching Brodie how to play with toys, and we’d love for him to be with a family that will continue to keep up with this training in his new home. Brodie is a pretty quick learner and, as such, has been getting to know how to do doggy things. He can already walk well on a lead, is toilet trained and can use a doggy door!

Brodie would love a yard to be able to play in and nap in the sun, but he needs secure 6-foot Colourbond fencing as our boy knows how to climb. Brodie would suit a family with children aged over eight years who can calmly introduce themselves to their new furry pal (remembering that all interactions between dogs and children should be actively monitored).

Brodie is a delight and would enrich the lives of the lucky family that adopts him.

Mozzarella and Gouda

Feline friends Mozzarella and Gouda would love a new home!

Cats of the Week – Mozzarella and Gouda

Meet two cheesy pals, Mozzarella and Gouda!

This mother-daughter duo is looking for their forever home together after being surrendered to the shelter through no fault of their own. Both of these beautiful girls were surrendered with kittens, are now desexed and child-free (their babies are well looked after in their foster homes) and happy as can be! We are pleased to say that these girls would be suited to most homes. They don’t discriminate when it comes to giving out their love to humans, but they would like to be the only felines in their new home.

These two gorgeous girls are definitely indoor-only animals from now on and would be excellent for snuggles on the couch and to cosy up to. Mozzarella does have medical needs that may require future care. If you wish to know more, please send an email of enquiry to our staff.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
