Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Whip, Cotton and Carrots are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Chewey

Meet our big boy Chewey.

Chewey is a young, outgoing and boisterous dog who is looking for a home to have lots of fun in. He’s certainly not the kind of dog for a household with quite a lot of precious belongings. Poor Chewey is still working on his house manners however, with some good quality training, he has the potential to be a wonderfully mannered dog. Chewey truly means no harm, he’s had little training previously and has yet to learn where he fits in.

Chewey is incredibly friendly with people and other dogs, though he wouldn’t be suitable with cats or small pets. Chewey would thrive in a house with an active owner who enjoys daily exercise and would love to have a daily walking buddy. He would also suit someone who can physically handle an active dog.

With some love, companionship and excellent training, Chewey will be a wonderful dog with years of love to give.

Rabbits of the Week – Cotton and Carrots

Meet Cotton and Carrots

They were brought into RSPCA ACT after their family couldn’t look after them anymore and made the hard decision to help them find a new home.

In their previous life, Cotton and Carrots lived with children and loved spending time with the kids playing in the house and getting up to mischief. However, they also enjoyed sitting down for cuddles too.

Cotton and Carrots have lived together their whole lives and we are hoping to find them a home together. They are small rabbits and have lived inside their whole lives. We would ask that their new family keep them as indoor rabbits too. Though they would love to be able to watch the world around them and spend quality time with their family.

If you have an outdoor run, they would also love to have an outdoor space where they can play on the grass from time to time.
If you would like to add two small and friendly rabbits to your household, please come on in and chat to us.

PAW NOTE: Last week’s pets, Whip and Bette, are still waiting for their forever homes.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
