Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Cleo and Bob are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Cleo

Cleo is like strawberry jam – she will smother you with sweetness.

This very young dog has already had two litters of pups and has been a great mum. She recently saw her eight babies leave the shelter, and now it’s her turn.

This dog has the potential to be a loving and devoted family member. She clearly loves ‘her’ people and will willingly hang around those she knows. She does think she is a lap dog and will try and hop in your lap given the opportunity.

It appears Cleo has not been kept indoors much, so will need some indoor training, but with that on board, Cleo would settle into family life.

As she appears unused to indoors, a quieter family household with older children would probably suit her best. She loves playing with toys, including tug and fetch.

On a walk she will ignore most dogs, but she is friendly with younger dogs and enjoys being out and about with her humans. Now that she is desexed, she is ready to enjoy her youth.

Bob

Bob’s a well-mannered boy who loves to fetch (and is very polite about it).

Dog of the Week – Bob

Bob is a lovely steady dog looking for a companion. Bob seems to enjoy the quieter side of life but does enjoy his daily walks and doesn’t mind a good scratch behind the ears while curled up on the lounge next to his person. Bob has clearly had some training in his former life, understands rules and will comply with soft instruction.

Bob appears to be quite settled when left alone and comes in gently for a bit of a pat before settling for an afternoon snooze in the sun. Bob is carrying a little bit of extra weight, so if you would like to adopt him, you will need to monitor him and make sure this beautiful boy gets back into great shape.

Bob really loves a game of fetch and will return the ball. He will do this repeatedly without being a pest about it. Come on down and meet Bob.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
