Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Chandler, Gabby and Abby are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Rabbits of the Week – Gabby and Abby
Gabby and Abby are two soul sisters looking for some love! These close-knit buns were found wandering the streets together, when a Good Samaritan picked them up and brought them to the Shelter. Now they’re looking for a home to call their own.
These lovely big girls are quite the pair and would love to find a home that has room for two and plenty of love to give.
Gabby is the more confident of the two and is curious about new people. Introductions often start with an ear scratch before climbing onto your lap and snuggling in. She likes a gentle person, and someone ready to share treats.
Abby is a more reserved rabbit. This lady likes to get to know you before she sticks her ear out for a scratch or pat. Abby prefers all four paws on the floor, but may change her mind once Gabby takes the first step.
Rabbits can make fantastic pets but these two will thrive with rabbit savvy owners. These girls will love a large and spacious enclosure with lots of toys and plenty of enrichment to help keep their minds and bodies active.
Rooster of the Week – Chandler
Looking for a handsome rooster? Chandler could be the guy for you. This cool guy arrived at the Shelter in November last year. He came with two of his pals who have since been adopted, so life has been a little lonely for this bloke ever since (no one told him life was gonna be this way).
Chandler would really love a home with a few lady f.r.i.e.n.d.s that he could love and adore 365 days of the year. Chandler has a bit of an odd look to him, but even we think he is the cutest rooster on the block.
Chandler will need a well-balanced diet in his new home, including seeds, grains, leaves, fruit, vegetables and insects!
Roosters are social and inquisitive animals who need open space to live. Chandler would love a bachelor pad with some grass to nibble, dirt to scratch in and bugs to chase! These will make great enrichment for Chandler to ensure he lives a happy and healthy daily life.
If you have a property, or even lovely neighbours open to a handsome rooster strutting around, make sure you come and say hello! Chandler has had a whole lot of love from the RSPCA, but he’s ready to step out into the big world and find some new friends to call his family.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
