Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Gemma and Tatum are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Gemma

Meet Gemma, who came into our care with her puppies. Now that they have found their home, it’s Gemma’s turn for a happily ever after.

At first, Gemma was nervous and cautious in her new environment. However, she was a loving and nurturing mother to her puppies while she was with them.

Once Gemma bonds with you, she will be your best friend for life. Gemma has some typical traits of cattle dog breeds, but she is also a very social dog and loves contact with her people. She would be best matched with an owner who has previous experience with cattle dogs.

Gemma is a joy in the shelter. Give her a treat and she’ll happily sit for you when you visit her. Once she sees a lead, her excitement doubles and she’s enthusiastic about getting out on a walk and playtime.

Gemma would love to live as the only dog in the household where she can be doted on by her new family. Gemma will blossom from a cautious girl in the shelter to an excellent companion in a loving home.

Abracadabra, it’s Tatum.

Rabbit of the Week – Tatum

Tatum and his brother Channing were found in a box in a car park. Now that his brother Channing has found his home, it’s time for Tatum to have his time in the spotlight.

Tatum would suit a home with a large hutch/rabbit where he has his own space to explore or a home with a female rabbit to keep him company.

Tatum is a super inquisitive and friendly boy; he likes to come and greet you when you visit his hutch at the shelter. He happily poses for a photo and wants to zoom around when you sit with him. He’s quite happy to sit near you for pats and treats too.

Tatum is a lovely rabbit who would make a great companion for anyone who is looking for a new buddy in their life.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
