Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Isla and Charlotte are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Isla

Isla is a sweet girl who has missed out on some of the good thing’s life has to offer a beautiful dog. At times Isla can be a little hesitant and unsure of strangers but warms up quickly once she is more comfortable. This beautiful girl would love to live an indoor or outdoor lifestyle and become a true member of her new family.

Isla is seeking a more experienced home with humans who are prepared to take her to training classes. This will ensure her active mind is kept busy with plenty of exercise and enrichment.

Lovely Isla is what we call an agile girl, so it is important her new home has good and strong fencing, preferably over six-feet high. Isla needs controlled meetings with other dogs to give her time to feel comfortable, so for this reason, we feel Isla will be best suited to being an only dog with no children in her new home.

Charlotte is looking for a forever home. She’s a beautiful girl looking for love!

Cat of the Week – Charlotte

The gorgeous Charlotte arrived at the shelter along with a single kitten, leaving her understandably quite protective and upset by her new and unfamiliar surroundings. Charlotte’s beautiful kitten has gone into foster care, giving Charlotte some time to get to know the staff at the shelter.

Slowly this lady has become a sweet girl with a shining personality. Soft-spoken, gentle and somewhat tentative, Charlotte demands pats and affection from people she knows, although she sometimes does take some time to grow comfortable.

Charlotte is very unhappy around other animals so she needs to find a home where she can be the only fur baby in her humans’ lives. Charlotte would best match a single person or couple who enjoy hanging out on the couch, a spare hand to pat with and a lovely sunny window for her to sunbake in.

Charlotte cannot wait to find her new forever home, so if you have the space in your home and your heart, make sure to head to our website to find out more information.
