Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Minnie and Dudley are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cat of the week – Minnie

Meet Minnie, a beautiful and shy girl that was found wandering the streets all alone. Now she’s looking for a family to take her into their home and into their hearts. Minnie is a quiet girl and tends to keep to herself, but loves to get nice and comfortable in a snuggly spot or while digging into her food.

As shown through her love for long naps and kneading her bed, Minnie would love to spend her time snuggled up beside you and enjoying your company. Minnie will often show affection by rubbing up against you for pats and head rubs, which is quite the show considering how quiet and timid this beautiful girl is.

Minnie has lots of love to offer and would prefer to be the only cat in the household. Considering her calm and lovely nature, she wouldn’t be hard to be happy with.

If you can offer this lovely lass the home she deserves, please come to the shelter to meet her.

Dog of the week – Dudley

Like his namesake, Young Dudley (dare I say, ‘Do-Right’?) is yearning to do the right thing and eager to learn in his own daffy way. He came into the shelter after being found on a solo adventure on the streets of Canberra. Being a youngster, he has lots to learn but absolutely loves people and should respond well to some training. He’s a toy fanatic and will love and play with them until they can give no more.

Teaching Dudley how to fetch and release would be an ideal start to his training. He has plenty of energy, and fetch games would help expend some of this and provide that all-important mental stimulation.

Being so people-focused, the ideal family would have plenty of time to spend with him and teach him that occasionally being alone is OK. A family with older kids who won’t be bowled over by his boundless enthusiasm may be more suitable for this young chap. Dudley would prefer to be your focus in life rather than have to share your attention with other pets.

Visit RSPCA ACT at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
