Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Lady Booth and Daphne are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the week – Lady booth
Lady Booth was sadly surrendered to the shelter by a local veterinary hospital as her previous owner could no longer support her. This sweet older girl is bright and engaging, and friendly out on a walk. Her needs will include gentle daily walks and routine grooming. She has a luxurious coat that needs brushing to keep in order.
This is no working Kelpie; she is a retired lady looking for a home where she can be included in family activities. She seems to be really keen on saying hello to small children and is mostly polite.
If you would like to welcome a lovely dog this Christmas, please come and chat with us.
Meet Daphne
Sweet Daphne came to the RSPCA as a stray and is now ready to find her forever family. With a lovely soft purr and a gentle nature, Daphne is sure to win anybody over very quickly.
She is quite an old girl, but is in relatively good health given her age, and would love a home that she can retire in. She has an extremely luscious and fluffy coat, so she will require regular grooming (she’s a HUGE fan!)
She is deaf (perhaps some selective hearing involved) and must be kept indoors. Daphne could live nicely with children, but all interactions between children and pets should be supervised, and we are encouraging a calm environment for her. Daphne would prefer no other pets in her new home. Daphne will make a beautiful new addition to the family.
Daphne is on a diet of Royal Canin Renal to help manage some early kidney disease, as well as some pain relief to help manage some age-related arthritis. Ultimately, our beautiful girl is looking for a home where she will be able to spend the rest of her life being pampered and well taken care of.
PAW NOTE: Last week’s pets, Chewey, Cotton and Carrots, are still waiting for their forever homes.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
