Sweet Ivy is looking for a family that she can call her own.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say a big hello to our sweet Ivy and cool cat Nala.

Dog of the Week – Ivy

This smiley pooch is Ivy. She’s a loyal, sweet-hearted girl who loves nothing more than to be with her people. She’s a confident and brave young dog, who is keen to find a new family with some experience of Spitz breeds.

Ivy is a sweet girl with a gentle personality and bounds of energy to burn. When she’s not laying in the sun of her kennel, she loves to spend time running in the yards and chasing tennis balls. Ivy needs a family with as much energy as she has, preferably people who love to hike, run or ride bikes.

Ivy loves everyone, including children, and has very nice basic dog manners, and will benefit from further training when she finds a new home. Ivy will make a loyal companion to her new family – she has so much love to give.

Siberian Huskies can be a challenging breed to own. They require plenty of exercise and enrichment to keep them happy and healthy (and to prevent them becoming garden landscapers in your back yard). We recommend Ivy for a family with children eight years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Nala needs a forever home with lots of love to give.

Cat of the Week – Nala

Nala is a lovely young cat, who was surrendered to the RSPCA ACT Shelter after her previous family’s housing situation changed. She’s spent some time adjusting to life at the Shelter and now she’s looking for a happy and peaceful home to call her own.

Nala previously had lived with another cat, but they didn’t really get along. So a home with no other animals is extremely important to this cool cat. After some time being separated from other animals, Nala loves to hang out with her humans and has become a happier cat.

Her shining personality means that once she settles into her new home, she will become part of your family in absolutely no time. Her friendly nature and affectionate head bumps will have you melting while she snuggles into your arms.

Previously Nala has lived in a home with a teenager, so a new family with a similar dynamic will suit her perfectly. As an indoor only cat, Nala would love to continue living this way so she can stay safe and cosy at home.

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
