Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Bartok and Missy are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cat of the Week – Bartok

Bartok is a beautiful, handsome, big white cat who found his way to the shelter in a humane cat trap. While it took some time and patience before settling in, Bartok made himself at home after realising we had yummy foods and warm beds for him to sleep on!

Bartok suffered from a small bout of cat flu when he first arrived at the shelter, so we sent him out to foster care to recovery. For Bartok, he got to experience the rewards of a lovely family and was very spoilt.

This big boy can startle easily, so will be best suited to go to a quiet, low traffic household. However, once he has taken his time to settle in, he will gift you with the sweetest snuggles and purrs!

In his earlier life Bartok contracted FIV. Coupled with his fair skin and pale complexion, it will be important for Bartok to be an indoor-only cat from now on. Bartok would also appreciate a safe and secure cat run so he can enjoy the outdoors from the comfort and safety of his own home.

Missy

Lovely Missy is a sweet senior waiting to meet a new family!

Dog of the Week – Missy

How cute is this pooch? Meet Missy, a golden oldie looking for a retirement home to call her own. Missy is a gorgeous, darling old lady looking for a comfortable and loving home to live out the rest of her days.

This little lady’s energy significantly defies her age. Missy is still a quite active dog who thoroughly enjoys a good game of tug of war and going out on relaxing and enriching daily walks. Sweet Missy even loves a good scratch, and she’ll melt away and wag her little tail out of pure joy.

Missy is looking to find a loving home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves. Missy can be happy meeting other dogs on occasion, but as an older girl has no interest in making regular friends.

Missy could be suited to a family with older and mature children who will understand her boundaries. We advise that all interactions between children and dogs should be monitored at all times.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
