Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Tickles and Nala are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cat of the Week – Tickles

Handsome cat Tickles is looking for a forever home to call his own. This man is extremely independent who will come over for pats and snuggles … but only when he feels like it.

Tickles is a very chatty cat who loves to talk, sleep and eat the day away. He loves to say hello to anyone that will walk past.

Sadly, Tickles has FIV which means he cannot live with another cat unless they are also FIV+. Tickles is able to live with dogs in his new house, as long as they know how to be respectful of his space. Tickles could potentially live with respectful older children.

Due to Tickles being FIV+ he must be an indoors-only cat. However, this lovely fellow would absolutely love a secure and enclosed outdoor cat run. Tickles does have some medical needs which can be discussed further with staff if interested in adopting.

This handsome boy is ready to find his new forever home with the perfect people to call his own. If you think you could be his perfect match, make sure you speak with our team.

Nala

Nala is looking for the right family to take her home!

Dog of the Week – Nala

A beautiful diamond, with a few rough edges … meet Nala, a beautiful lady looking for her forever home. Nala is super friendly with human adults but lacks experience with young children and can be boisterous when excited.

This girl needs a happy and active family that will take her walking, hiking or running every day to ensure she keeps happy and healthy. Nala is friendly towards other dogs, but right now she’d prefer to be the only dog in a home where she can get all the attention to herself. This lovely lady would benefit greatly from attending training classes to help her learn some important doggy manners.

We think Nala would best suit a home with older teens, and it is extremely important for all members of the family to meet her prior to adoption. Please remember all interactions between children and dogs should be monitored.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
