Rioters!

Looking for suggestions for a suitable restaurant/gastropub to cater for 25 people in costumes for dinner. Menu doesn’t need to include swans or pigeon pie, but a chicken parmi won’t cut it either. Happy to hear from businesses.

Please note, all daggers and swords will be foam/latex.

Have you thought about the McDonalds site in Tecoma, Victoria? The fortifications, patrolled by uniformed mercenaries, are currently under siege by the revolting peasants, who would probably welcome your group’s assistance in breaching the embattlements. I don’t think the McDonalds were particularly popular in medieval Scotland.

Depending on the date, if you book a hall, I can arrange/cater it for you from actual medieval and renaissance recipes. I can arrange hall decorations, entertainment, the lot.

Try the Carrington at Bungendore. We had a Medieval themed christmas party there a few years age, All quite basic with slabs of roast beef, and whole roasted vegies, but with vats of warm mead on each table the night was well lubricated 🙂

You could try ye olde George Harcourt Inn. Whether they serve mead, wild boar, and trenchers, and turn a blind eye to overt wenching within their walls, is a question I cannot answer, but it might offer a suitable backdrop.

If you can reserve an outside fire barrel, that may be all the atmosphere you need.
I think one is undercover. With sufficient warning and pre-payment, any food business may be prepared to derange their normal fare.
Tho primal fire is hard to beat.

You could consider hiring a space, decorating it, and getting in a caterer …

The Keller at Harmonie German Club, Narrabundah would be a good venue. This is a private room below the restaurant.

Phone Marc, the chef 62394381.

Maybe you could have 50/50 split Knuckles/Duck?

Crossroads Medieval Village?
http://crossroads.org.au/

Though their twitter page has shown naught for 3 years+

Harmonie Club – I reckon pork knuckle would be the closest to medieval you could get.

The Polo in O’Connor?

Restaurant damn close to medieval!

Is Dirty Dicks still around?

I think that place with all the meat and mayonnaise in Dickson would do you a treat..La Copa?

(And I know there’s no chance of my being there to witness the riotous frivolities…)
