Featured in this week’s RiotACT Gig Guide is the beautifully named Nic Cage & The Bad Seats, a band recently pulled together that “blends together jazzy chords, funky rhythms, rock guitar solos, and poppy melodies.” Check out their bittersweet tune “Breezy” here. Rally around The Bad Seats and others TONIGHT as part of Pity Da Fool Day, also featuring Endrey, Harrison Lambert & Paul Moon, Lisa Maps and others. That’s on at The Phoenix from 7.30 pm.
Loaded Laneway is on this weekend! Everything you need to know about it can be found right here. There’s other stuff this weekend too though, including The King Hits at the Phoenix on Friday as well as Oranges releasing a new EP at Transit Bar with Leavings and Okin Osan.
On Saturday, acclaimed Adelaide folk duo The Audreys will be at Smith’s – you’ve just missed a ticket for the 7.30 pm show, but thankfully they’re playing again from 9.30 pm later on in the night. East Row Rabble release their brilliant new single ‘One For the Kokonut’ at the Old Canberra Inn, while The Jungle Giants, one of Australia’s biggest indie rock acts right now, will be at the UC Refectory from 8 pm for the ‘Used To Be In Love’ tour.
