Suitor are a fresh new supergroup, fusing members from Monoceros, Rumblr and An Inconvenient Groove into “purveyors of fine handcrafted sludge-gaze”. Check them out this Saturday from 3 pm at Smith’s Alternative, as they play with electro-wizards Babyfreeze and Endrey.

Anthony “Albo” Albanese is known in some parts for his hipster taste in music, and what better way to experience it than heading over to Balthazaar on Wednesday night as he puts on the headphones and plays the role of DJ for the night? Jumping over to Friday, RAT!hammock will be bringing their brand of lo-fi bedroom pop from Melbourne to the UC Hub, playing with My Pet Ant and Plastic Plants from 7 pm, while Australian hip-hop star 360 will be at Mr Wolf for the second time from 7:30 pm, playing with Pez.

On Saturday, MOLO Live will be hosting Novocastrian noise-pop shoegazer Fritz as part of her “Summer Holiday” tour; she will be playing with Dalmacia, Neko Pink and Babe Fiasco from 8 pm. Over at the Street Theatre, jazz guitarist Alex Stuart will be bringing his Parisian quintet to tour their new album “Aftermath”, starting from 8 pm. On Sunday, hellosQuare Records will be hosting Japanese sound artist ASUNA at the Canberra Contemporary Arts Space, while Sonny & The Sunsets from the USA will be bringing their West Coast sound with help from petre out at Smith’s Alternative from 7 pm.
