Another ACT licensed club has been the target of armed robbers, with the Town Centre Vikings Club in Tuggeranong held up in the early hours of Saturday.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery at the club on the corner of Athllon Drive and Rowland Rees Crescent, Greenway.

It said that at about 3.05 am on Saturday, 20 January 2018, two armed men approached staff inside the club, forcing them into the rear office.

The Vikings Club staff complied with the robbers’ demands before the two men fled the premises and were last seen running south towards the nearby Alpha Hotel Canberra.

Police said the first man was wearing a black face-covering, a bulky black hooded jacket and black track pants, and armed with a small axe and a conducted electrical weapon.

The second man was solidly built, wearing a black face-covering, a dark-coloured jacket with light-coloured sleeves, dark-coloured pants, and armed with a shortened firearm.

Police urge anyone with information to contact police on 131 444, or to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
