Two men dead after car crashes into tree in Sutton

Two men in their 40s have died after their car crashed into a tree just outside the ACT border on Saturday night (24 November).

Around 11:45 pm, emergency services were called to Sutton Road, Sutton around 20km northeast of Canberra following reports a vehicle had crashed into a tree.

The driver, believed to be a man aged in his 40s, and his passenger, a 42-year-old Canberra man, both died at the scene.

Monaro Police District officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
