Police are seeking witnesses to a home invasion in Chisolm last night (7 July).

ACT Policing says two armed men forced entry to the residence on Goldstein Crescent, Chisholm at about 10:00 pm. A number of people were inside the residence at the time.

The offenders made demands and injured one person before fleeing the scene in a vehicle with items from the premises.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated the injured person at the scene before transporting them to the Canberra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later a member of the public disturbed two men attempting to break into a vehicle in Richardson. The men were in the vehicle previously seen at the Chisholm incident.

The two men were taken into custody and are assisting police with their enquiries.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relating to the home invasion, including CCTV or dashcam footage from around the area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 6570502.
