The Brumbies have kept their slim finals chances alive with an incredible victory over the Hurricanes at GIO Stadium on Saturday night in chilly conditions.

The Brumbies came back from a half-time deficit to end the Kiwi curse with a 24-12 win, keeping the Hurricanes scoreless in the second half.

The ACT side came out all guns blazing in the second half and Folau Fainga’a burst through to score the Brumbies 1,000th try just two minutes into the second stanza.

The Brumbies finished the stronger out of the two sides and a late try from Andy Muirhead sealed the win and handed the Brumbies their first win over a New Zealand side since the opening match of the 2016 season.

Local photographer Ben Appleton from Photox was at the game to capture all the action on and off the field.
