Virgin rings in direct flights to Tasmania!

p.s. johnboy, the west coast of tassie is stunning rugged country and cradle mountain national park in the north-west is my favourite place in the whole world. the other ‘civilised’ parts of northwest are blah though – redneck high unemployment bogan territory.

I love Tasmania. The direct flight is fantastic news. I hope it is well supported, as it will make it much easier for us to see family living in Hobart.

i have a direct flight booked one way for anzac weekend, unfortunately not on the return leg due to the timing of the one direct flight a day not suiting my plans – no complaints from me though, hooray for saving at least 1.5 hours’ travel time (4 hours in melb airport = worst case scenario surely, eyeLikeCarrots?) one way!!

We plan on going to Tassie later this year, and this makes it a helluva lot easier to get there and back. Good on VB!

Direct flights to Hobart from Canberra is a boon for thoseus that came to Canberra from the Apple Isle.

Gone is the almost 4 hour wait in Melbourne Airport.

Do yourself a favour and visit Tasmania once in your life, its a pretty place and the lifestyle is alot like Canberra (people just substitute the sea with the pond), I think I’ll end up retiring there (unless I end up moving to Vietnam).

I just got back from Tassie, highly recommended… except for Launceston which was kinda boring. Depends what you’re into, but sounds to me like you missed the best part johnboy!
